Dr. Al Rumaihi graduated from the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at King Faisal University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Post-residency, Dr. Al Rumaihi joined the Swedish Board Training Program in Urology at Uppsala University Hospital in Sweden, which he completed in 2005 and European fellowship board in urology. Dr. Abdulla Al-Ansari MBBch, FRCSI, FRCSE is a graduate of The Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. He completed his fellowship in both Ireland and Edinburgh. He is trained in field of Urology both in Qatar and U.K. Dr. Al-Ansari worked in other specialties such as Trauma, Orthopaedics and Vascular (all of which has helped him when dealing with complex cases), before specializing in Urology. Over the course of his career, Dr. Al-Ansari has had the honour and privilege to have worked in various leadership positions at different levels of the organisation and he is currently the A/Chief Medical officer for HMC, the largest healthcare provider in the state of Qatar, as well as the Chairman of Surgery.

Dr. Abdullah Alenizi is a robotic and minimally invasive urological surgeon with a fellowship from the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He graduated from the college of medicine at Dammam University and earned his MBBS in 2004. He had his basic surgical training in the department of surgery at Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh where he spent 2 years. In 2006, he joined the Saudi Board of urology training program and graduated in 2011. He did a clinical and research fellowship in Advanced Robotic Uro-Oncology at the University of Montreal Hospital center (CHUM) and a clinical fellowship in Urology robotics and MIS both at Hôpital du Sacré Cœur de Montréal and Lakeshore General Hospital. He has done a lot of research and publications in the field of endourology and robotics. He also has an interest in technology advances in the surgical treatment of BPH. In addition, through a collaborative program, he has worked as an adjunct assistant professor at Alfaisal University in Riyadh between March 2016- March2017. He now works as a consultant robotic/MIS urologist at the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he is also the director of the urology residencytraining program.
Professor Shoma is a urologist since 1991. He spent his residency in urology and nephrology center, Mansoura, Egypt. He got his medical doctorate (MD) from Mansoura University, 1997. He serves as professor of urology since 2008 at urology and nephrology center, Mansoura University, Egypt. He is the head of endourology and laparoscopy unites in urology and nephrology center. In april, 2018, he became the chairman of urology department in urology and nephrology center. He has more than 50 articles published in indexed, per reviewed journal. His current H index is 24 in Scopus. His main interest is laparoscopic urology, endourology and minimally invasive management of benign prostatic hyperplasia. He has the credit of doing first laparoscopic radical cystectomy, radical nephrectomy and partial nephrectomy in Egypt and Middle East.
Dr El Hajj is an Assistant Professor at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. After graduating from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut, he completed his robotic and minimally invasive surgery fellowship in Paris at Montsouris, Henri Mondor and Saint Joseph hospitals. He joined AUBMC in July 2013 where he founded the Robotic Urology program and developed laser enucleation of the prostate for BPH. In March 2018, Dr El Hajj performed the first robotic Aquablation procedures in the region and participated in the Phase 4 Open Water Study evaluating this technology.

Dr. John Denstedt graduated from medical school in 1982 at The University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. He completed his residency in Urology at Western between 1983 and 1987 followed by a fellowship in Endourology under Dr. Ralph Clayman at Washington University in St. Louis. He returned to London and joined the Division of Urology in the Department of Surgery at Western in 1990.
In July 2002 he assumed the role of City-Wide Chair and Chief of the Department of Surgery at Western University and served in this role for 14 years. In May 2013, Dr. Denstedt joined the Board of Directors of the American Urological Association, becoming the 3rd Canadian in the organization’s history to do so. Dr. Denstedt is the immediate Past Chair of the Canadian Association of Surgical Chairs.
While maintaining an active clinical practice, Dr. Denstedt is an internationally renowned scholar in urology with career accomplishments encompassing over 250 published papers and book chapters; more than 200 guest professorships in countries throughout the world; and numerous honours and awards including being the first Canadian to have won the Gold Cystoscope Award from the American Urological Association. Dr. Denstedt’s research interests include urolithiasis; biomaterials; and urinary tract infection. With a specific interest in surgical education, he has participated in the development and validation of computer based surgical simulators. Dr. Denstedt serves on the Editorial Board of eight journals in Urology, is currently Managing Editor of the Journal of Endourology and is the Treasurer of the Endourological Society.
Mohamed Eissa, MD is Professor of pediatric urology and past urology Department Chairman in Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Eissa is the first pediatric urologist in Middle East; his practice is limited to pediatric urology since 1979. He is the president of Egyptian Urological Association (EUA) and immediate past President of Pan African Urological Surgeons' Association (PAUSA). He is also a member of International relations committee and International philanthropic committee, member of international consultation of urological diseases ICUD ; he is a member of American Academy of pediatrics‐section urology, board member of Arab association of urology, member of SIU, EAU, ICCS and ESPU, and honorary member of AUA also awarded Félix‐Guyon Medal 2011 at the 105th Annual meeting of the French Urological Association.

Has done the very first case of simultaneous robot assisted laparoscopic radical nephroureterectomy; genital tract and paravaginal nerve sparing radical cystectomy; superextened lymph node dissection and intracorporeal Studer pouch construction for bladder cancer on the same patient with both bladder and ureteral tumor and published it in Central European Journal of Urology in 2014 (2014; 67(3):257-60. doi: 10.5173/ceju.2014.03.art9). Served as executive board member of Turkish Urological Association and Euroasian Association of Urooncology. Dr. Mitchell Humphreys, MD is the Chair and Professor, Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He holds dual appointments in the Department of Urology in the Mayo College of Medicine and in Clinical and Translational Sciences in the Mayo Graduate School. In addition, he serves as the Dean of the Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development as well as the Endourology Fellowship director.
Dr. Humphreys completed Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and an Endourology and Stone Disease Fellowship at Indiana University. Since that time he has been on staff at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. His clinical focus is on surgical and metabolic stone disease, BPH (with a special focus on HoLEP), and minimally invasive GU oncology.
In addition to the publication of over 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts and multiple book chapters, he is a journal editor and reviewer for several international urology journals. He is an active member of the Endourology Disease Group for Excellence (EDGE) research consortium. Outside of his work with Mayo Clinic he is on the Board of Directors of GSD Healthcare, LLC promoting basic healthcare initiatives in underserved and impoverished areas around the globe. He also serves as a Board of Trustee member to Columbia College which attends to a student population of over 30,000 students.
Muhammad Shamim Khan (OBE, TI, FRCS (Urol) FEBU is a Professor of Urology and Surgical Education at the King’s College & Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, London. He is one of the pioneers of robotic surgery in UK and has international recognition for making a major contribution in robotic cystectomy.
Professor Khan served as Director BAUS office of Education member Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) in Urology, Co–Chair UK National Simulation programme in Urology (SIMULATE), member Joint Committee of Higher Surgical Training (JCHST) and joint lead Surgical BSC King’s College London. He was examiner FRCS Urology and is currently examiner FRCS Urology International.
Professor Khan has over 500 publications to his name (250 peer-reviewed papers, over 300 abstracts), edited two books, contributed 10 book chapters and delivered more than 150 plenary lectures at the international meetings. He was awarded OBE (Order of British Empire) in 2007 for the humanitarian work, a Silver Cystoscope award for the best trainer in UK & Ireland in 2017 and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Pakistan) in 2018 for his services to medicine in Pakistan.
Prof. Selcuk SILAY is currently working as the chairman of department of pediatric urology, and director of pediatric robotic surgery unit at Istanbul Gelisim University & Istanbul Memorial Hospital. He graduated from Ankara University in 2003 and had his urology training in Istanbul Sisli Etfal Hospital and Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas, USA. He had his pediatric urology fellowship training in 2014-2015 in Texas Children’s Hospital, USA. Since then he worked as the associate professor and chairman of pediatric urology department in Istanbul Medeniyet University. He won EAU-Crystal Matula award in 2018 and 6 other best presentation awards in different international scientific congresses. He is a panel member of EAU Pediatric Urology Guidelines. Dr. Thomas Chi, MD, is Associate Professor and Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs with the UCSF Department of Urology. He graduated as a President's Scholar from Stanford University with a BA in Human Biology and Masters degrees in both Sociology and Music. Dr. Chi earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine then completed two years of general surgery residency training and a urology residency at UCSF followed by a fellowship in Endourology and Laparoscopy.
Dr. Chi has been awarded grant funding from the National Institutes of Health and the American Urological Association Urology Care Foundation to research the fundamental mechanisms underlying the formation of urinary stones.
He joined the UCSF Department of Urology faculty in 2013 where he focuses on the care of patients with urinary stone disease, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) and those in need of minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in performing endoscopic, laparoscopic, and percutaneous surgeries. Dr. Chi has used ultrasound guidance to create innovative radiation-free kidney stone surgeries for stone removal, representing the first program of its kind in the United States. He is also experienced in performing Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) - a minimally invasive operation to treat men with an enlarged prostate.

Dr. Walid Farahat is a professor with the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto, and a Pediatric Urologist with The Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Farhat joined The Hospital in 1998 where he has developed a unique niche within the urology field in the education, clinical and research arenas. His most recent expansion of practice has been within the medicolegal area after completing his Global Professional Master of Laws with the University of Toronto in 2018. Dr. Farhat is currently the Fellowship Program Director in the Division of Urology, as well as the Associate Surgeon in Chief of Education for the Department of Surgery and has successfully initiated and organized the Pediatric Urology Laparoscopy Course (PULC) for the past 11 consecutive years. Dr. Farhat also oversees a basic science research projects in urinary bladder tissue engineering, where his team studies the basic structure of the urinary bladder, its physical characteristics with particular emphasis on the early stages of urinary bladder development in animal models.
Dr. Yasser Farahat currently serves as Professor of Urology at Tanta University-Egypt, a Clinical Tutor at Edinburg University, UK and fellow of the royal college of Surggery UK. He is a consultant urology at ministry of health UAE and Fellow of European Board of Urology (FEBU). He is acting as a senior consultant of urology at Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital (SKGH-UAQ), UAE.

He completed his MD in 2004 at Tanta University, Egypt. He had been awarded a number of prizes including the best research and presentation at the first Eastern Mediterranean Meeting of European Association of Urology 2007 and the best research poster presentation at the 25th annual EAU Congress 2010.
He is one of the world wide initiators of using the robotic assisted RIRS since the invention of the Roboflex and improving the utilization of flexible ureteroscopy in renal calculi management.
